The continuous failure to support from the general motor corporation has come as a certain death sentence to its dealer network. During the time when GM sold almost more than 50% of the vehicles sold in America it created a vast dealer network around the U.S to provide its customers with the best support, it also made them a giant in the automobile industry, but now in this global recession period and under fierce competition it hardly reaches the two digit figures, in terms of percentage of the total sales, now the dealers are facing the heat with too much competition in their own turf many fail to sell any cars and fall under huge debt crisis. With the company herself under bankruptcy charges and nearing shutdown the fate of these dealers is only to bail out from the industry, some are lucky enough to walk away freely but many under debts depend solely on GM. If the company continues to decline some more it surely is the death sentence for many.
